July 4th On Saturday we gathered outside the offices of the agency in Chinatown at 6:45 AM, from there we went to other parts of the city where more people went to the bus and 8 were already on the highway. As expected, most of the passengers were Asian, presumably Chinese, hehe, but we were several Mexicans, 11 in total.
As at 10:30 AM we arrived at Kingston, a city located on the shores of Lake Ontario, and Toronto. It is a small but nice, very quiet. The most remarkable thing you have is a fairly large university. We were there an hour or so, breakfast on the lake. At 11:45 we boarded the bus and went to Ottawa, the capital of Canada.
arrived at 2:30 or so, and stayed a while in the area where the Parliament, the seat of government of Canada. Before Parliament is a source, called the Eternal Flame, which made to commemorate 100 years of Canada in 1967 and is supposed to be on forever, no matter the weather or anything else. I say "supposed" because the day we went was off. I talked with a teacher and he said he has been to Ottawa several times and has never seen the flame on, hehe.
stayed a while near the Parliament, on one side there is a lookout where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, which is divided by a river. We took several photos and we go back to the bus. From there we took the Canadian Museum of Civilization, located across the River. We do not enter the museum, rather than a bridge that we walked back across the river and were going around a while for a small market. We spend the hour and half and we were given back to the bus. From there we went to the highway again to go to Montreal.
