Is Wm.roger And Son Silver Real

Road to Inuvik and Inuvik

And Inuvik left for the great idea to travel nearly 3000 km in 3 days to spend time in Inuvik and beam back to Edmonton as part of racing and visiting Edmonton Leos began.

Poor naive of me .... I thought that 1000 km per day would be relatively easy, at 95 km an hour, because if I pass the van 100 km / h is like putting $ 100 bills every half hour, I would take 10 or 11 hours of driving by day, and I figure that if he slept 6 or 7 like I still had about 6 or 7 hours to walk. But you are more alive than I already was open because it does not work that way, first the average speed of construction areas and people that go where you can not go over 50 with luck, I fail to more than 85 km / h because thank god not many people living from Prince George which is not so bad but again I was going to handle 1000 !!!!!! Or is 12 hours driving, but adding to that is to stop the bathroom, stopping to eat, stop to lie on a lake to swim (shower), and on and you will realize the day doing nothing, well I have to say sport of the day was to kill mosquitoes, flies, wasps, bees, Mangangá, butterflies and other winged insects that were left in the windshield and the front of the truck.

But back to the adventure, which is not so great but do not worry I'll make sure to decorate and make it more interesting, as well as bored me a lot on the trip and take pretty pictures but do not compare in the least to what is really driving up to the end of the road gives you an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat they're missing ....

Leaving Prince George, stop by a lake called Lake Fraser, was about 150km away and there were signs all the time, visit the Fraser Lake Beautiful, Unforgettable moments on Lake Fraser and who knows what else and I said I'm going ta stop, as something, and I swim a little quiet, but when you reach the "beautiful Fraser Lake", I will not say it was ugly but did not allow for both stir. The view of the lake and the hills behind, no big deal, there was a sand beach but when I get to it, water was filled with stones and algae, and ta, there was nothing else to do. So after a glass of milk and cereal for a while in the water to say that I take a shower and a couple of pictures of an airplane used to carry water and fire in the northern part of BC there are many forest fires as it has been a very dry summer, I went traveling.

On the way to the north decided to take route 37 which goes on the west coast with the idea back south on Route 97. When taking the bifurcation of the two westbound routes, began to change everything, at first pass through a couple of villages, one had what they claim to be the largest fishing rod in the world, but not much else to do also with so many wildfires in the area, the sky was all covered with smoke and parts were no mountains in the distance.

And after a few hundred miles, I see some posters saying that last 100 km of the route was cut by the fires and smoke and were allowed to pass according to the conditions. As yet I needed to get and there were many cars and houses come rolling in the opposite direction I thought there would be no problem, plus the option to turn around and handle 300-odd km to re-start was not promising anything. And so I continued driving, with the small inconvenience that had more bugs in the path tree and that my dear friends is no small thing, and every mile more and more spots appeared on the windshield, and when I get the sunset and was just almost face I can tell you more than once manage to score because he did not see anything and gave me the will to stop to clean the windshield. And drive and drive all day stopping to use the toilet and eat something and go half quickie trip. En route I was lucky to see several bears, different ages but it was too dark for the camera to take a picture also bears would not pose for the camera and while I'm half crazy I would not get off the van to ask Mr. Bear a photo jijiji, the most beautiful was seeing a few months nomas teddy bear breast and staring at me when you stop the truck for them, but ran into the woods pretty fast. The van re porto, not heated, and did nothing unusual, the only detail was that the end of that day and it was clear that the human population was scarce and that more were less service stations but at least have the decency to say how far away the next, at about 10 pm when he was dark enough to pass through one that was closed and the sign said that the next station was at 140 km, and I think I said ta get jijijiji .... And I continued to travel

The view at sunset from the truck, notice the mosquito on the windshield

no mosquitoes now jijiji

Less 140 km evil were accurate because the tank was almost empty when it comes to an Indian reservation, but everything was closed, it was night and I was not sleepy but very tired of driving all day, so park the truck and lay down to sleep.

woke up at 8, I put $ 30 in the tank to reach the next station because I wanted to charge $ 1.30 per liter, again comes with the tank half empty to another station and put $ 70 because it was closer a larger city and hopes the price down a bit more and that this was $ 1.20.

And so I continued driving for several miles until you reach the point where the road was cut just before I see a lot of trailers, vans, trucks and all vehicles coming in opposite direction and I or all are turning or all passed, but as I was almost there I would not try to turn without luck, and as usual I had luck! No sooner had we saw there was a queue of about 30 vehicles waiting to happen, but do not expect or 2 minutes when we all left in convoy, an official vehicle leading the convoy and the other was following my own car last row, 75 km separated us from the intersection with the Alaska route of which about 30 were or had been on fire, but despite smoky parties all go well, reaching the Alaska route we spotted another queue equally long waiting to happen.

And there went my way towards White Horse, but refuel before reaching a small town but I was at a good price ohhh fill the tank and surprise when I went to pay I got a 5% discount by charging more than $ 100.

White Horse is just a little more than 1200 km of Inuvik, and I was pretty tired but I thought it was better to continue traveling that day and not having to travel both on Tuesday and spend more time in Inuvik. And after another nice 6 short hours on the road with a sunset that is increasingly started later and lasted longer and longer, reaching almost to Dawson City which is basically the last city before Inuvik. Stop at the roadside and went to bed happy because I only had about 750 km to go and arrive.

Turns out that 2 days driving all day tired more than I could imagine and I end up at 10, left bound for Dawson City to refuel and start the last part of my journey but on reaching the point where he had to turn to the north where there was a service station and where to start Dempster Highway that takes you to Inuvik, I saw a sign saying "Dawson City 40 km" and ta said I will not add to my trip 80km to see if I save a few cents per liter of fuel, fill the tank which cost me $ 150 and went towards Inuvik !!!!!!!!!!!

The small detail of Dempster Highway is that not only is 735 km away and it ends in Inuvik from tip to tip is ballast !!!!! Can not imagine my joy to discover this little detail.

Evening at 10:30 pm, the changes everything when you drive over a thousand kilometers due north
More sunsets

Well step on the road not much to say, help a couple of veterans to change a punctured roof, I saw some caribou and arrives right at the end of the annual migration and drive and drive and drive, thank god most of the way the road was in excellent condition, although the land yes it was impressive, to say that the earth was suspended in the air for more than a minute after going, thank god the cars go slower and let you stop go so you do not land filled or you are throwing stones on the windshield. After hours of driving finally reaches the Arctic Circle.

After so many miles, you reach the Yukon border dividing the Northwest Territories, but were still more than 200 km to Inuvik, the interesting thing was that when you stop to take some photos I saw that there were natives in the field collecting something, so I went to talk to them and told me they were collecting wild fences to freeze and eat in winter because were a good source of vitamin C, there were 3 women who appeared in the same family because she was the grandmother, mother and daughter, while married men had gone to Caribou, what struck me is that the mother was with whom I spoke with her carrying a rifle, and told me that as they were collecting wild valley was quite common for the landowner came offended to see that not steal the food, the detail is that the owner of that land a grizzly bear was not going to be very happy with them stealing food. The fences were very rich because I advantage and collect some jijiji.

The Mackenzie River

Seguí trip, but nothing earth and land, until it reaches a river that had no bridge to cross so you have to catch a ferry cars and trucks passing a side to side during the summer as in winter and everything is frozen ice make a path, the problem is that the path to the ice built Inuvik is isolated from the world by land and can only arrive or depart by air. Another time on the road, another river without a bridge, and finally another ferry was an hour to get to Inuvik.

Going to ferry

Arrive on Tuesday at 8:47 pm, with the sun high in the sky, walked around the town but I end up "losing" because the GPS has the coordinates wrong and all the streets were bad. Thank god the people are so small that you can not miss. I found a service station and fill the tank with a new record of $ 178.46, but the machine to pay by credit card was broken and had no cash so I took the data of credit card and told me to come back a day next.

T

true that people's first impression was not the best, nothing to do, many natives drunk and quite expensive. So I decided go to an overnight parking, pay the bill the next day and go back to Edmonton right away so I could spend the night in Dawson City and tour the area. But 5 minutes was spent in the parking lot watching the sunset (at this point was 10-something of the night) when a van next to me and if the van was covered with earth and only see a piece of the map side began to speak with me and continued talking a while, more people arrived, they set a fire and invited me to talk to them, then we went to the house of Sebastian, a boy from Montreal, to eat burgers And take Jordan as one of the paramedics City and LaSalle is in Ontario told me I had an available room in your home and if I wanted I could be sleeping at home and did not have to sleep in my truck. At night we were talking to Jordan and gave a good clip honey taste and loved it.

The next morning after going to eat a breakfast that Jordan payment, pay the bill at the gas station and we went fishing, then I spent touring the town with Jordan in the ambulance as He was on duty but as it happens a lot of things as they say is going to fart waiting to see if they call it, and it was fun like every person I met was excited with my trip and told me I had to stay a while and get a job because they pay well here because it is difficult to come who live at the end of the world.

And after committing the error of making pizza for Jordan and a friend, they kept telling me I had to stay and teach them to cook, so on Thursday I woke up and decided I'm going to stay a few days and see if I can snag some work and maybe I left a couple weeks to jjijijij next summer.

thing that surprises me is that while the sun sets around midnight, do not fully obscure, although in a few months will be the opposite can not see the sun for several weeks, although there is a couple of hours in which there is some clarity.

Eternal Sunset, the first photo at 12 am, second at 2 am and the third almost 4 am

What I need to see is the Aurora Borealis but I'll have to wait a days when there is something really dark at night to watch it because although it happens every night is not so clearly visible.

keep you posted and see what happens ....

Thanks for reading
