Victoria
In Victoria lives a cousin of the mother Jamie at which we thought to visit and see if we could stay a night at home.
But we could not be contacted by phone in the morning, we decided to go a little town, went to the port where there was a craft fair, many, many tourists, and where a statue of Queen Victoria in front of a replica of a famous church (you think it's a church) of England called St. Paul. Very nice gardens, and many activities for tourists, from rides in carriages pulled by horses, to travel in super-fast boats to go whale watching.
a while in the crowd, we decided to eat something at a park but before we went to visit the Mile 0 of the route through Canada, the route I'm going to go in large part because while I can I will use alternative routes that are less traveled and have more "real" places which is what I like to know, We got to mile marker 0 where is also a memorial statue of Terry Fox, a Canadian girl after losing a leg to cancer decided through Canada run to raise funds for research for a cure for cancer. And after several months running 42 km per day, came to Thunder Bay in Ontario where he finished his tour as cancer it spread to the lungs but if not reached its goal within the country very deeply and still today is an icon of the fight against cancer. When you get to go to Thunder Bay to visit the place where I come in where there is an area dedicated to Terry Fox
From there we went to a park where we ate and finally Jyll to contact the relative of Jamie said we had no place in your home but we put up our tent in the back and park the truck without problems. Very nice Jyll cooked us a nice dinner and let us use his jacuzzi.
The next morning we were caring for a puppy that Jyll Rosie is at home and after a good breakfast and a farewell, we turned the continent.
But as we arrived just in time to exit the ferry and how could it be otherwise after waiting a while we saw 100's of cars and trucks and buses rose to the ferry and when we were literally in front of the ferry told us that we entered and we had to wait for the next ferry, so we had to wait 1 hour until the next ferry. Just not so much.
ferri In conversation with one attendee told me to cover this morning one of the ferries had problems leaving the port and had hit the port and the way we saw that the ferry was moored at port, and today I read in the newspaper that the case had been that a rope had propellers lockout and there was 5 injured but none seriously, thank goodness that our ferry arrived at destination without problems.
At Vancouver, we took Dan to a hostel because Jamie And they had booked their last 2 nights at the hostel but at the invitation of Oscar stay at home Jamie decided to save the money and come with me to the Oscar while Dan preferred the hostel.
ta And until now what happened, I'm going to stay a few days in the Oscar and I go there to visit Rebecca a girl who lived a few months in my time in New Zealand since she lives in Whistler remains of past to the Yukon and told me that if the weather is going to go to his family's cabin in the mountains left and which can only be reached by boat, so in a few days I will have more to tell, which also might do is go to visit a Hippies of the colony I met in Calgary to see such, but will see as I go from this to travel all the time tired, sometimes I end up more tired than when I had a job, but by far worth much more worthwhile than jijijiji work.
And I spent almost a week at the home of Oscar, but Oscar went to Uruguay leave me the key, and I caught up with the cleaning of the van, inside and out, wash mattress covers that are filled with earth, I caught up with the rest of my blog and leave the truth is exhausting jijijijij. Do not kill me, I know you guys are complaining about work tired but seriously to travel every day and walking too much is exhausting.
back in a few days to write things in the blog because now I'm going to visit a friend I met in New Zealand and lives in a village in the mountains ....
Thanks for reading
Juan
